Install Modem Router

Install Modem Router
1.Connect the Internet port of the Netgear router to the Internet modem with the Ethernet cable that came with the router.

Connect your computer to a LAN port on the Netgear router with a standard Ethernet cable.
3.Reboot the Internet modem by powering it off and then on.
4.Plug the Netgear power cord into the router and a wall outlet and power it up. Wait one minute.
5.Power on the computer. It may take several minutes for the connections to complete. Check the Netgear router status. The power light should be solid green, the wireless light should be lit, the Internet port light should be lit and a LAN port light should be lit for each computer connected to the router.
6.Open a browser and type 'http://www.routerlogin.net' (without the quotes) in the address box. Press 'Enter' to connect and open the login dialog. Type 'admin' in the user ID box and 'password' in the password box.
7.Click the 'Setup Wizard' link in the left panel. Click the radio button for the 'Yes' option to allow the router to automatically configure itself for the Internet connection it detects.
8.Click 'Apply' to save the router settings and connect to the Internet.
Tip
- Get IP address information from your ISP before beginning the installation.
